w211 e55 AMG K2 annoying flat spot - Help
Symtom
pull away very slow in 1st (manual mode) press pedal slowly build to 2/3k rpm then big hiccup and back to normal.
pull away in second slowly is the same but less of a jerk
pull away in second quickly (like pulling out on to a round-a-bout) the car then double starts, hard to explain, an immediate flat spot just as the car is pulling away due to the fact that I have pushed the accelerator past the flat spot point straight way.
In reverse it's like a switch.
Is there is some sort of laptop/system like a polygraph that can monitor the car, I only need twenty yards to induce it?
HEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

thank you TTMotorSports, I had the supercharger clutch pack changed under warranty as the 2004 versions were noisy and mine used to squeal at the flat spot point, now it's all quiet but still have the flat spot

The key is to not pull away slowly. Best way to get around it is to QUICKLY depress the accelerator to 5-10% of it's travel as soon as you leave a stop, and the clutch will engage at ~1,000 RPM and be ready to go. The car will not jerk or accelerate like crazy if you do it right(takes about 3 tries to figure it out). Just a quick stab to get going and then it's smooth as silk until it disengages again. The problem with accelerating slowly and then stabbing or rolling into it is that the clutch now has to engage at a much higher RPM(2,000 - 2,500) AND there's a load on the engine, causing it to buck.

Issyz28, your explanation is smack on the money pal, that is what my car is like to drive, okay, I now feel very pleased if this is standard and very silly also.
