One stock record broken twice & two other's once!

West Coast Captures I never knew that we lost it

Went out to the track today with Tre', Alan and Mike. Weather wasn't to bad cool enough to run good and just enough sun to heat the track. I enjoyed the day hanging out with the guys again and watching my son make his first pass down the dragstrip. My worst run of the day was a 11.83@120.82. Now for the good part.

Run #1

1.72 60'
7.56 - 1/8@93.19
11.761@121.46 (New Stock Powered Record for et beating my old time by .008)

Run #2 was posted above

RUn #3

1.71 60'
7.53 - 1/8@94.29 (New Stock Powered 1/8 et & trap record)
11.701@121.89 (New Stock Powered et & trap record)

and now for the funny part Alan drove my car for the 1st time and beat my record in my car. Run# 3 was run by Alan. We were just a C hair away from 11.69 which I still believe that it can run.

My car had its personal best all the way around today.

60'
1/8 mile et & speed
1/4 mile et & speed

If my car can get off a 1.69 or 1.70 60' it will run 11.69 for sure!

Who said drivers don't make a difference?

All Hail Alan

Well I sat in Alan's car the most, so I have the record for sitting in the passenger seat of the fastest non nitrous car! Yay me!

LOL...These cars just seem to like me .

BTW...Ahmad owns the fastest non nitrous car out there by a long shot. I just took a step backwards and I need to figure out what's going on. Damn, I hate when that happens but when it all gets figured out I'll be out there pounding my pb's once again.

I initially went to Sac to do some data logging and left my drag setup at home to prevent me from focusing on ET's. I figured the track would be safest place to concentrate on my logging, not the streets. At the end when Hammer was done he let me borrow his 17" dr's for a single pass before they closed. I ended up with a 11.07 @129.5 with a failing Meziere pump that struggled the whole time. My IAT's were 20-25 degrees higher vs 2 cm30's. I'm not sure what that would equate to in my ET's but the ECU was pulling timing. I just spent the last hour comparing this run to my other best runs and I could definitely see why I'm slower.

I meant E55, I changed the title of the record and forgot to add that back in!

Oh and as far as the pump failing, when has it worked? A couple pulls on a dyno and it blows a fuse and stops working, then two runs into a track session and it dies again? A pump that can't push water? No thanks! Time to go back to what works!

Thanks Ahmad, coming from you that means a ton. But we all know who da man really is, take a guess....he cuts high 1.4's and low 1.5's and still has more left in her . My car will never see a high 1.4 or low 1.4 .

yeah, i wasn't impressed watching that meziere pump trickle water through alan's system. seems like maybe it was meant to push high viscosity fluid at a slow rate rather than water...or it was just a bad pump. but i was told others didn't have much flow in their's either so who knows. either way, you're right...go with what's proven to work!

Congrats Jack.... remember my words when I said your car has an 11.6 in her

Alan is quickly becoming one of the best drivers out there.... everytime he gets in a car, he gets a personal best and ends up breaking a bunch of records for that car (my car included ).

Awesome run Alan.... now we need to get your car back on track

Haha...thanks Mo. Here's the secret....burnout, wait for the light to turn green, and floor it. The car will take care of the rest.

I'll definitely get my car back on track before fall rolls around. This is the time for trial and error and to really dial things in. You know me Mo, one bad day at the track means nothing and I'll figure out what step needs to be done. In all honesty, I was only a .300 off my pb which isn't too bad considering a last minute run with someone elses DR's.

Back to the drawing board and work out the kinks.

Haha..thanks Charlie but you have Ahmad and a bunch of others that are much more experienced than myself. I just get lucky every now and then and love doing it .

Can't wait to see what that beast is going to do. I've seen that beast run in person a few times and I know it's a strong ****. There's no doubt your car is totally capable of a 10 second pass with the direction you're going.

Happy Easter all!

Yeah, I was really surprised how little it flowed compared your system . When compared it was like watching a stream flowing steady water when compared to the roaring rapids of the CM30. To be fair when comparing it to Chiro's car he had 2 pumps flowing compared to my one. All though with that said but both Mikesamg and myself agree that my single CM30 out flowed the Meziere installed on my car. This is only going by a visual comparison and not a actual GPM test. At the track I would cool down my intercooler with only my rear pump not using the front.

I'm sure the Meziere works great for other but for my application one pump isn't getting it done. It was recommended that I go with 2 but after watching this one I've decided to stick with what works, plus it's less money out of my pocket.

MEZIERE pump for sale if anyone is interested.

Lucky? Haha, You jump in a car and beat the owners best tie on your first pass! Far from lucky. Charlies car will definitely be a monster. The M3 was rediculous, if he puts tires on it it's game over! I'm sure the E55 will rip out the hole!

I may have my car back for one last try at Hammer. LOL

Great driving Alan. I guess I should give you a shot, hehe.

Thx Rock, I should've waxed my car like Enzon once told me. I need to get the oil changed in the engine, tranny and rear and then hope for some of the same weather and then give it another shot. My car is capable of running 11.7 consistently and now I'm at the point where an 11.80 or slower is a bad run. Must launch a little harder....11.69 here I come

You'll get there. I'm telling you, the next time lets mount my CCW setup and I promise a 1.69 or better. I'm willing to bet Mikesamg on that .
