A Homage to Marcus's E55

I took off the CCW SP20's off the E55 to get ready for it's prospective sale and I decided to put my SL65 wheels on the E55 (ala Marcus Frost Beast). I could have put the painted black 18" stockers but I figured this is probably the best time to throw the 19" 65'rs on the E55.

Since my car has been lowered to the max via Kleeman ELM, I do need to raise the car a bit while I wait on the ADV's...it rubs just a bit on uneven roads...I just drove it and I to put it on the highest suspension setting until I can adjust the Kleeman ELM.

If these mutherfockers weren't so heavy, I'd probably keep them on there. The difference in weight between the ADV's and the 65'rs is between 12-15lbs at each corner (it does make a difference)...BUT they DO LOOK SWEEEEEET 'n SEXXXXXY.

J

Patience brother...a couple of weeks is my probable wait time. In the meantime, rockin these bad boys isn't a bad option.

That is very flattering Jon and of course I think they look great. I know they are heavy, unfortunately, but I really dig the look and don't really want to go with a tuner style wheel on my 211. Maybe that will change.

Marcus...as many have stated...these rims should be stock to the E55. It is just a flattering look...aggressive but a very refined look perfect for a sedan.

The lack of lip also makes the car seem to have "broader" look...that is why I'm heading to the "no lip and concave" look with the ADV7.1 mesh monoblocks.

Hey Marcus, do you have any extra torque laying around in your garage? I sure could use some. Bro you have enough torque to seperate your garage from your house!

Actually Hammer the way your E55 is running I might have to borrow some power from you! I've been down on power with the E55 lately and am trying to get her back up to snuff, hopefully I will have it worked out soon.

I wish I could borrow the power from my other cars, which, knock on wood, seem to be running very well...

A Prius because I'm green
I have a set of Chrome 19" SL wheels sitting in storage. Loved how they looked on the car until I got tired of the chrome phase, I wouldn't mind powder coating them like that. Does anyone know if it's possible to even refinish these wheels? I know when I had a blow out with one I was told I couldn't have it fixed and sent off for chroming because MB doesn't sell the bolts for you to put the wheels back together. I'd imagine that would stop or make it difficult to do? Or does someone want some shiny new SL wheels to add to their work out room for their bicep workout?

AMGfan, looking forward to seeing the ADV's but damn it looks good with the 65'rs. I also liked the way it looked with the CCW's... just a sweet sweet ride!

I absolutely love that look. The weight is the only thing that holds me back. Don't we lose some RWHP/RWTQ going to 19's?

Those rims look very natural on the E55.... great choice

I wonder how they would look on your car with the center powder coated in black as opposed to the dark grey....
