E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Retrofitting Xenon Headlights
I am purchasing an E55 without lighting package....
Want factory - not the aftermarket bulb kits...
Cheapest way to do this ?
I assume swap out headlights - plug & play ?
Where are the ballasts ?
How much is a set of Xenon E55 headlights ?

Search is your friend, lots of information on this forum. You can get used and new headlights on Ebay and you can get them through Steve @MBenzNL. Personally I would use Steve, he is very helpful and you will be certain to get the correct pieces. I think a set is around $1200 when I was looking.
Either way you go make sure you get the correct headlights and if you go Ebay and you get used make sure the tabs are repaired and the bulbs and ignitors are included.
Check out Yacht Masters DIY and you will see whats involved with this retrofit. It is quite involved but his DIY is priceless and really is a step by step. I know because I followed it to the letter!!
You can get the auto leveling to work with a harness from Steve.
And last but not least, you will need Xenon set to "Present" via STAR.
