e63 2007/2008/2009 CPO Search
In the market for an e63, 2007-2009 CPO, depending on price. Have seen 2007 models with ~12k miles ranging from $50k-$58k and 2008s a bit above; 2009s seem to be priced much higher than that, at least at the dealers.
I ran quite a few searches through the forums and found some helpful posts, but they are now somewhat dated. Does anyone have an idea of decent pricing in the NY/NJ/CT area for the above model years?
I've also been looking at maintenance issues; so far, it seems like the brakes are the big expense. Anything else to worry about (assuming warranty coverage)? I know it depends on driving style, but how long will my brakes last under normal driving? I'm hoping every 2 years; if it's every 6 months I might have to pass!
Thanks in advance for the input; it's much appreciated.

Brakes should last you a good 30-40K at least. My front rotors were in great shape so we just swapped pads and saved a ton. I don't know the spark plug intervals exactly, but I changed mine last month at 39K miles. That was about $450, because you have to pull all the intake tracting. Other than that maintenance is pretty normal Mercedes, nothing too bad. Yeah 09's are still a LOT more than 07 & 08. Some of the systems (COMAND) are a lot better, but it's basically exactly the same...

Thanks for the information. I've just inquired with several dealership service personnel and they said pretty much the same thing, which is a relief; I had the impression, based on sheer speculation, that I would need expensive regular maintenance, but it sounds fairly bearable.
The 2007 and 2008 CPO cars seem to be somewhat in the same price range, depending on mileage. That said, I am considering getting an extended warranty beyond the CPO warranty just for piece of mind.
