Why is that little piece of pipe in FRONT of sec. cats there ?
What purpose does it serve ?
What happens if you remove it ?

its a little cross pipe -- like an H-pipe ---it probably helps the sides to scavage from the other bank's exhaust pulse... -- but if you are messing with the exhaust you may as put an X or H pipe in -- help the tone of the exhaust -- and take out the resonators.

Got my headers installed @ TTM made a 7 drive to have it done. All I can say is that these headers are like my Desert Eagle they look awesome and pack a helluva punch. And they are so pretty one thing I must note is that you definitely can hear them they give the car a deeper note until you pull the trigger then all HELL breaks loose.

My biggest concern ... will these headers pass emissions? Don't they get rid of the primary cats and throw a CEL?

That's the only thing that would hold me back .....

Probably not. Just kick the guy a couple bills to run the car ahead of you twice.
