07 E63 19s need modifications????
my MB dealer is saying that factory 19s from the dealer on an 07 E63 requires wheel well modifications?
Is that true? is that the case for any 19s or 20s on an E63 or E55 (assuming they fit the same wheels)???

My 05 E55 came with 19 SL wheels and they fit just fine, what the dealer told me is you can order 19s from MB when you first purchase the car and it's just the 19s off an SL. They have plenty of room in the well as the max tire that I can fit on the rear wheel is a 275. 285 will be on shortly and still no modification. Have you asked them what exactly they would be modifying? Dealers have been known to blow smoke up your A$$ from time to time.

I personally think they are giving you lip service, I have 19's on my E63, and they never required any modifications for fitment. I'm running 275-30 out back and 245-35 up front. And my car has been lowered and still no issues. So I don't know, I would go back to your dealer for more clarification.

it looks to be inside the wheel well and something about a piece that goes around and inside that may be exposed inside and underneath...they even sent me a 2 pager from some kind of Daimler AG that i'm going to try and attach...
The wheels are factory AMG 19s....I dont think im going to get those because they are ridiculously priced but was wondering if other 19s or 20s would cause a problem...from the looks and sounds of everyone, its not an issue as most seem to have them as well...

That pdf is about fender rolling. That comes into play with oversized tires, incorrect wheel offset and/or a combination of both on a std height car. Can also be applied with the afore mentioned on lowered cars with OEM wheels, tires.
