Truthfully, I'd like to lower it a lot more than 1 inch, but we'll see. I'll probably do 1.5" to 2" all around.

I'm stock. The black is slammed with 20's. I'm rubbing and my fenders are slowly being destroyed because the LA roads are garbage. The black ride does not have it as bad even tho hes scraping the pavement. I guess thin tires are the trick...

No offense taken. I ran your "standard" W211 setup on my last set of DPE's. 20x8.5 and 20x10 with 245/35 and 285/25's. I'm not sure what you mean by more aggressive offsets, but you can't run an aggressive offset with those tires and not rub. So I went with with a mild stretch this time so that I could run a more aggressive (+32) offset on the rear, which allows the rim to sit flush with the fender. If you run a 285 on a +32, you'll rub. You can probably run a max +35 with a 285 tire, but the rim won't sit flush with the fender.
The stretch tire look is definitely not for everyone, and definitely not to the tastes of people on this forum (as I've noticed), but then again I don't mod my car to please other people

Good Lord your car is low, Tbone!
I'd be worried about getting stuck on a steep driveway or a speedbump!
Looks pretty sick, though!

LadyAMG- I rarely need to use the raise button to clear driveways. That's the good thing about these benzes. You can tuck tire but the car is actually still pretty high. Now, back in the days when I had my Honda, I cringed everytime I saw a speedbump
Sooooo, ready to dump?

I'm lowered on Star aka SDS. Not sure how many inches I'm lowered. Enough?
I forgot my offsets but I'll get them for you when I pick up my wheels again next week. I have slight rubbing issues in the rear on big bumps. That's because I'm running CLS/SL tire sizes on my car. If I used the correct tire size in the rear, I would have no problem. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Slightly OT but I saw your wheels in person the other day... your tires are rubbing as you said cause the numbers are wearing off

There might be a solution- your BBS LM's came off a CLS and the faces are reverse mounted. If you remount them like stock LM's you will gain maybe 3-5mm or what you need to avoid the rubbing. I showed this to Hyevon John and he said he would tell you. Your offset would essentially increase I think you have the room on the inside. This way you can keep those 295's on.

Are you running 20's? If so, you're rear is rubbing because your rear tire is too tall. Should be a 285/25

I have a Renntech ELM with a remote I have set on a 1.70 rear drop and mine do not rub in comfort. If I hit sport 2 and hit a deccent bump there is a little rub. I have 10.5s in the rear. Its funny Benzboi brings that up because the MB tech tried to tell me the car does not lower from comfort to sport2!
Some of them are clueless!

i wanted to do the 285/25. i understand that it is actually the best tire for 20's in the rear. However anyone in NYC will tell you that recently due to road conditions (cheap salt) all the roads are choppy and f fu*#ed. so i needed a a rear tire with a little more cushion.
