Anyone had trunk closing problems before?
Car is currently at the dealer for trunk closing issues.
2006 E55. Supposedly the "striker" needed to be replaced, they're now also saying that while the 'striker' was bad the pump module that pulls this down is faulty or not working correctly and is sending the wrong signal.
Took it in for the following issue: when pressing trunk close button the trunk would close, but then that final 'suck down' wouldn't occur- and as such the trunk warning light on the dash was on.
Anyone have any pointers here?

Only two problems known here, the wiring to the closer motor have chaffed through on about 4 or 5 members cars, repair wires & rerouted. Secondly the control module goes bad and the trunk closes too fast, like a guillotine.
My guess is that something dropped down in to the striker mechanism, it's trap door dose not keep everything out.
