What to do next?
Guess the only drawback is we are getting into the "too warm for records weather" but I still am hoping for a chilly weekend and seeing that thing set the US record!!!!
After you set the record, then I say have fun and tinker around with either long blockin it, or cranking up the boost on the Klee.

#6: shoehorn in a 63 motor with SLS top end and then maybe dry sump it for some added fun

#7: see option #6 then add two turbos

After looking at my motor I noticed that in order to put the kleemann sc on the car the front eyelet (part of timing chain cover) is cut off and the rear 2 eyelets are removed to fit sc. I can buy the 2 rear hooks or take em off my CLK430 but what do I hook onto in the front? I was told to "get creative" lol.
Another thing I noticed is the C32 has a single belt 8 rib pulley system. I guess they overspin their accessories when they swap to bigger cranks and run over 20PSI of boost. I wonder if those kits would bolt up to a V8 and possibly run their accessory pullies (since they are 8 rib as opposed to my 6 rib, less slip) if they bolt up to hold me over til the winter and turbo time. Hmmm
The plan is to figure out a way to pull the motor this weekend and get the wheels turning. Who knows how this is going to end lol
Maybe an accidental fire to get rid of this money pit! HAHA
I found a local MB tech that can get me a brand new wire harness from the dealer and have it installed for $1400 total.

Is this like your 6.1L with twin turbos? Good luck at Sac, don't get mad if your car doesn't go tens

That would be nice but in order to add turbos and make any kind of boost the c/r would have to be lowered
Yup, probably a winter project. Those hellion kits are retarded on the cobras and GT500's.

****!!!!
The motor I was going to buy has a cracked head and broken block and the shop is saying the motor is useless.

All my cars have standalone engine management, they don't drive like stock at all which is good and bad - easy to tune on the dyno but drivability takes a while to dial in. Lose traction control and (in one of my cars DBW throttle). Don't mind all the xmas tree lights in the dash
. Run E85 or pump gas! Not sure how your auto tranny would react, I converted mine to stick to get around that issue!I would drive it the way it is for the summer (enjoy the beast!) and do whatever you want in fall/winter. I made that mistake and regret it.

What's the latest development? You gotta break that record before the TT 5.5's come out.
