You must be retarded dude! Those are his old wheels before switching to the black wheels. Also, most people do not think black wheels are ugly, so stop generalizing.

Yes...my inability to follow this thread MUST mean that I'm retarded.

Edit: Looking at those two sets of wheels, the change from the black to silver seemed pretty logical.

Interesting enough, and I know I stated this along with what you said above in other threads, I never cared for black wheels. Never liked them. Then I saw a silver BMW with black wheels and visioned them on my car. The silver 20s above had to go as much as I loved the look of them they were always getting damaged and did not hold up well.
I can say that I have had considerably-not even close-positive comments from strangers on the black wheels over the silver wheels. At a minimum 10 to 1. The entire wheel/tire shop vacated to come out to check out the car and everyone said they preferred the black over the silver. In person they do look much better than photos.
Do I have a preference? I liked the silver wheels, but the black wheels give the car a much more sporty look IMO.
But, you never know, I am always looking at new wheels,

That's cool. I guess it is possible for a member of this forum to reply to a non-complimentary post without resorting to personal attacks.

Guess I'm 'retarded' too. The silver wheels look incredible & offer a cleaner, more sophisticated look IMO. Either way, the OP's car looks great.

Love the black look... Im biased but everyday I look at my two sets of P40's on my 997tt and M3 and Im very very happy I didnt choose differently.

I always have the mesh silver on the GTR

Black wheels are very popular for a reason, they STILL look good IMHO- I find myself looking at nicer cars with black wheels and thinking "wow that car looks good". Just the other day I was checking out a Bentley GT Speed in all black and while I wouldnt choose the car I thought it was a beast of a car with black wheels and black paint.

I get more looks with the black wheels on black than when i had silver. As long as the owner is happy with the color scheme, its all good.

Seeing german cars and exotic cars (P, F, bentleys, &Lambos)with black wheels just makes them look intimidating and badass in my opinion

So true.

It's all about sharing our passion for cars, not to criticize what we may not agree with beyond a simple-not for me.

Funny, as I had a cop pull up next to me this morning giving me that, 'I want to pull your rich *** over look' as he was glancing at my car. He should see what these sell for these days.

I gave the little runt a half smile and went on way when the light turned. If not for his radio, gun, and badge, I would have smoked his Hemi.

Yeah the irony is so deep bro Almost every single post I have ever seen on this site regarding the black forgestars are positive and especially on silver 55's; thus, the majority on here as proven by polls in multiple threads like black. It is not generalizing when it is proven by facts that their is a "majority consensus," so take the "offensive slang, " and shove it up your

Epic Irony #1: Your vehicle sports silver wheels.

Irony #2: "Most people" = generalizing, which you told someone not to do.

Irony #3: You're so wound up over this you're going to give yourself a nosebleed.

And yes calling people 'retarded' is considered offensive...at least according to a 'majority' of 'generalized' facts and 'consensuses' (consensi?).

Don't take yourself so seriously brah. Life's too short.

So far there are 2 peeps on this thread who don't like black wheels. Guess that ruins the "almost every single post" theory.

Cheers.

Off Ebay, but I prefer the factor emblem in pearl black so I will be swapping them out soon.

Guys, I ask that we keep things civil, we are all here as enthusiasts, to view, share, pick up ideas with each other. I would never want all of use to agree on mods which is what makes this a great place to visit. No sense in arguing when in the end we are here to enjoy our cars.

Amen. Apologies for my part.

BTW pearl black is always better in person than in photos! No doubt.

Guess it is time for a change, really do like these wheels, so I'm going to pull them, strip them down to bare, and recoat in titanium or black chrome. Toss up at the moment.
