OK so it was my 3rd trip to this event and everytime I walk away impressed.... absolutely shattered by the end of the day.
The list of cars are
Caterham Superlight
Palmer Jaguar JP1 (Le mans style with MAJOR downforce)
Palmer Jaguar (Single seater)
Porsche 911
BMW M3 GTP
Renault Clio Cup
Landrover Defender (if you have done this offroad course once the novelty is gone - but fun and a wellcome rest time.)
The single seater was the best of the day, but the M3 was really impressive too. Clio is nonsense, but only a second or so off the Porsche time (very tight course). Porsche was super... man I need one of these, tiptronic box is too slow, PDK would be a delight to drive here. The JP1 is all about downforce - get it disturbed by going over a bump and it will spit you off the track as I found out...
We were also taken on a few flying laps in a Jaguar "Slik Cut" (sic) Le mans style race car with GP2 drivers at the wheel. These "kids" are maniacs, and boy can they drive... reactions are amazing... as well as their bravery!
If ever you guys are this side of the pond well worth it to get out there.
I've got some pics I will load up and some on board video of my modest attemps of trying to impress. I'll load em up as soon as I figure out how!
