My last fiancée drove our brand new Lexus IS (2 months old) hit the curb and crashed into into a transformer as she was driving and filling out a Birthday card at the same time!!! That car written off and we had to pay for a brand new transformer.

My current girlfriend drove her brand new 335i Cabrio through a flower bed after hitting curb as she was talking on the cell phone and trying to enter the combination at the drive-up kiosk to a gated neighborhood....wrecked the driver's door and the door mirror.

I have more stories!

*ahem*

A friend of mine has been asking if he could drive my E63 so he could "feel the difference in power". He recently wrecked his car. Needless to say, he's not going anywhere near the E, lol.

From the link

In a study released by Quality Planning, an analytics company that validates policyholder information for auto insurers, women came out on top.

The study analyzed different kinds of vehicle code violations (traffic violations) and then compared how many times men were cited versus women. The conclusion was that men break more traffic laws and drive more dangerously than women. Because they violate laws designed to make the roads safer, men cause more accidents and expensive damage.
Totally and completely agree with this, however, if a study was done to see who is more likely to curb wheels and scratch up carbon fiber body work, I think the results would be different. . .

For the record, my wife drives the 55 anytime she wants and she's insisting right now that I put in writing that she has scared me as a passenger while she was driving and she has scored several "kills" in it. She would also like me to write that I will never be as "hot" as her driving the car. . . She also is now admitting that she thinks of her purse and shoes everytime she parks it.

LOL.... for the record, I really like the purse and shoes technique

Anyways, I agree men are likely capable of more damage when they get into an accident because they break more traffic laws. But I still think that when it comes to small-type accidents, such as, curb rashes, scraps, rear-ends, etc..., women are number one

Hahaha...well, you know I gotta represent! Although I agree that most females don't pay attention to the road like they should, I have also been around some males that should probably have bumper guards and curb feelers on their cars. Luckily, I'm not close friends with any of those guys.

CLK63 Black Series
My wife can drive my cars anytime she wants. As long as she doesn't eat or drink coffee while driving . Every Porsche, M and AMG that I ever owned she drove, and they were all lowered with nice wheels on them. She never asked me to drive the Black Series, but loves the M6. After all it's just a car meant for transportation and in case something happens, it's not going to be the end of the world.

That was FUNNY! Yet so true. My wife will drive it, but she prefers the SUV and knows the wrath of curbing my wheels so she figures it is not worth it.

I had no reservations about letting my lady drive my car SL55 and the old C55. With the C55 she new the ins and outs on how to drive the car.

I remember the first time she drove the C to work, all of her male co-workers were jaw dropped. 110lbs girl rolling up in a the AMG, exhaust burbling. I was even told she popped it into neutral to rev the motor.

Before that the guys at here office talked a bit of smack, claiming their mustang and 350z was faster.. typical Alpha male stuff. She got her respect that day.

Then last week she rolled up in the SL55, while I took her car in for service. That prompted questions, like... "where do you get these cars?"

I find it kind of flattering, when she asks to dive my car. Its not always a yes, but if I'm not using it or some other reason. She is more than welcome to take it. Plus i kinda like driving her Nissan Altima coupe around. Its got a 6 speed manual, so thats kind of fun to beat on.

In fact I'd let anyone drive my car. It doesn't bother me at all. I also like to let friends drive my car. Some of them have other obligations like children and what not. So owning a high performance car is not in the cards. It feels good to let them take a car out for a spin that is somewhat unobtainable for them. Whats having fun if you cant share in it.

Cars are cars. If I let nuts like members here drive my car, my wife is the least of my worries.

My wife drives the E55 more than I do. I drive the 996. My teenage daughter is in drivers ed. She drives the E55 to practice. My other teenager drives it when we need her to pick up our four year old.

They're cars, but anyone can drive them. It just requires some respect of the power.

That said, the kids don't drive the 996

I can't get my wife to drive it. She's turned down numerous offers I made asking her if she'd like to drive the beasst. So I quit asking. She's much happier in the passenger seat and gets to observe the car periodically making me behave like a juvenile.

2006 CLS55 & 2002 SL55 (R129) Silver Arrow
My wife lost driving privileges for what she did to my Lexus back in 2002.
Curb rash on my 19" Lowenharts, blown sidewalls, scraped side moldings, and a cracked front and rear bumper all fell victim to this heartless monster.
Mind you it was given to her in near mint condition 2 months prior.

She's stuck with the Honda Pilot until she learns to behave.

I did more damages to my vehicles than my wife will ever do, so she have her own set of keys to all my vehicles. But most of the time she prefer to be in the passenger seat.

I kicked the 55 down to my wife when I picked up the 63. She is born and raised in Germany, loves the get up and go. She averages 3 kills a week...

My wife won't drive it. I have been too **** about curbs, door dings, etc. Plus, she doesn't like having to angle it through dips so she doesn't scrape. Just too many little things that make driving it a hassle to her.

I let her and encourage it but she admits she's scared of the beast and has yet to even sit behind the wheel in the 1+ years that we've had it.
