S or SL airmatic link?

So which is it? Ive heard that its the S and the SL link that is longer than ours. Can anyone confirm? tia..

You mean on the front? Then it would have to be an S, since no SLs come with airmatic, right?

I knew that the older S class had a rear link that was actually adjustable. IMO, it was still a pain in the rear to install so I prefer to simply slightly bend the mounting plate.

For the fronts, I used to take my old metal ones and press them straight. That gave the length needed. Also, you can tear the welded bolt on there and then go to a nut and bolt with proper spacer and locking. If you have the newer plastic ones, then they are very mod unfriendly

just put a couple of washers and you will be good to go. I have washers for about a year and a half.

BTW, I just thought of it. The newer S class has airmatic on some models. Try that linka nd see. If not, I am pretty sure the old ones are not gonna work.

HEY!! Just understand what you are doing if you use washers. I have used them nd everything else. I was also in one of the cars early on that failed on the freeway. The driver side just DUMPED at 80. Ahhhhhh but MB and their warranties.......

reason being I am looking to use the oem link and not washers. So newer S-class with airmatic it is.

I agree with you 100%

Let us know if that is an option as those links are very cheap in comparison.

Im going to talk my service rep today to see if hes got a guy in parts thats willing to help and do some searching for. I will def post back with findings.
