Remove exhaust tips?
Did a search but didnt find anything. Is it possible to remove the exhaust tips so I can make em shine again?? Or do I have to clean em on the car?
Thanks.

you can take off the exhuasts of course -- you can not take off the tips only - unless you cut them off the car and reweld them later --

Just lower the two mufflers by removing or unbolting the hinges.

Another board member suggested that this cream works well on our tips, haven't got around to trying it yet

I've been using steel wool for a while now at the suggestion of another board member. It's fast, easy, removes ALL carbon, and it costs about $2 for a box of 10 pads. The tips get dirty so fast and the carbon is so hard to clean(at least on a DD that gets driven 300-500 miles a week) that I see no reason to spend more than 5 minutes cleaning the tips every other week or so.

Steel wool is way too aggressive. Instead, try a Scotchbrite pad. Worked wonders on my tips. I use P21S Multi-Finish Surface Restorer to polish them up and it seems to work better than any metal polish I've tried.
