Question about E63 interior...
Hi,
Just got a 07 E63. This forum has been very helpful but couldn't find answers to my questions below. Doing some detailing before posting some pictures. Thanks.
1. Is the center console/armrest area cover with leather or vinyl? It has stitching on it but sales guy said it was vinyl.
2. Is the seat-back (where the vents are) leather?

The only true leather is on the seats and the door panel trim. The arm rests and center console, are vinyl simulating leather. But it feels and looks the part

Would it still be okay to use a leather cleaner/conditioner on the vinyl pieces? I have a really good Lexus leather cleaner/conditioner that I have been using for the past 5 years. It's hard to distinguish which parts are actual leather or synthetic?

I actually tried it with Lexol leather conditioner on the vinyl pieces and while it doesn't look like it will have any adverse effect, it looks like the leather conditioner just "sits" on the vinyl rather than being absorbed like leather.
