Need some Help on Tires
Ok guys heres the problem I was at Midnight run and blew out my tires i was running DPE ST-10 245/30/20 front 285/25/20 rear.... now I brought a new set of tires fronts are 245/35/20 and rear 285/30/20 The problem is I have lowering links on my car and the upper control armfor the front is touching the treads and my shop just told me even with raising it its still going to touch... i only needed .3" to clear, I thought the upper control arms would go up with raising the car.... Im really confused any bode have any clues to this? I want to raise and keep my car at stock high instead of having it slammed... its not good for NYC anyway. Also I bought this car from Getzze55 last year.

rasing it is not going to help. the distance between the upper control and wheel hub is contant regardless of the ride height. your many want to try a set of spacers in the front to offset the wheel so it clears the bolt. Another option is the grind off the remaining thread on the bolt so it doesnot rub against the tire.

Thanks for the info.. this is disappointing...... I thought by removing the or bring the car back to stock it would help... so noone runs 20" rims with 35 in front?

Wow Seeing the picture of your tire freaked me out. The same exact thing just happened to my tires and i have the same exact set up as you . I just found out that no one makes a tire in our size we use on the 20 inch wheel that can take the weight of the e55 and thats why the tear themselves apart and blow out. The only option was to go with a thinker sidewall but like you mine doesnt fit either.
