Operating temp?

Just wondering what do you guys see for the normal operating temperature of the E55 (after the car is fully warm up)? My range from 70-100 degree C. The fast I go, the lower it get.

My car runs pretty much at a constant 90 degrees. I wanted to see how hot it gets this past weekend because we had a little heat wave here in the bay area (90+ degrees) and I drove from San Mateo to Sacramento in about 2.5 hours (with Traffic) and stayed at 90 degrees the whole way.

Is that with a PTE stat, or a smaller w/p pulley?
For stock, 70*C seems kind of low.

I don't know about the E55 but on E63 the dash display oil can temp icon blink until it reach 80C (normal operating temp). My oil temp reach as high as 114C when I'm in M-mode. Just normal shifting and it doesn't matter what the outside temperature is. MB tech said this is normal cause the engine like high oil temp.

Anyway, they said they update the oil temp software. I didn't notice anything different.

My vehicle is the same way... It'll warm up to 90, and it'll stay there constant regardless of driving style or exterior temperature... I've driven to and from Vancouver BC a few times and even with 13/14 hour drives, it's always 90 firm...

i never look close enough to know the exact temp --- but mine is ALWAYS 1-2 bars over 80... Doesnt matter what I am doing or what the temp is outside.

Pretty normal, not to worry. I'm assuming (by the temps listed) that this thread is about operating temp and not oil temp.

My operating temp stays pretty constant, but oil temp fluctuates depending on how hard the car's being driven. I've hit 118C+ when really aggressive in M mode keeping rpms up around 5k for quick runs on back twisty roads.

mine stays @ 85 and after 4-5 times pulling hard and driving extremly hard. it goes to 90. but i can feel their is some loss power with that. so i just cruise it a bit untill it comes back to 85(86)

Thanks for clearing the air, I feel much better now knowing you guys wasn't talking about the oil temp. I was getting worry that my oil cooler is clog or not working proper.
