I am buying a 04 e55 amg today with 45k miles. and I WANT A WARRANTY !

i am buying from a local lexus dealer they are offering me a warranty for bumper to bumper full coverage for 2800 for 2 yr 24k miles or 3600 for 3 yr 36k miles. they say everything is included minus wear items. seems like a good warranty that goes through local benz dealer. benz rental and all.

i have heard there is some dispute between the chrysler warranties still being available .

just wanted to know you alls input before I pull the trigger on this

I got my E55 from a Lexus dealer in Houston and bought the 36,000 miles warranty that's handled by Toyota/Lexus call Continious Coverage. It's paid for it's self 3 times over with no real issue getting the work done at any MB dealership.

IMHO I would go visit the local MB Dealer, and get there take on this before pulling the trigger. Because the last thing that you want to happen is to buy this car, and have a major repair and the warranty isn't valid. I was told by Mercedes that, my 07 E63 can only be covered for a total of 7 years under factory. After 7 years Mercedes will no longer cover it under any extended warranty what so ever. They recommended to me a company called JM&A. They said that they will honor this warranty, as if it was factory. And that word came straight from MB USA financial managers mouth. So I will be exercising my options come 2013.

Grant can I ask what you paid? and what yr and miles? u can pm me if u perfer. they quoted me 3600 for it 3 yr 36k miles. And benz had no problems servicing it? was in the platinum coverage ?

$3600 for the 3yr./36,000 miles is what I paid for mine. Yes it was the Platinum coverage. It has been repaired at MB dealerships over the last 16 months with NO issues at all. Car is 2004 and had 45,000 on it when I bought it.
