Anyone have or know how to fix ...
check gas cap error? The low fuel light starts to blink and the center display goes all red.
I have checked the gas cap a MILLION times and everything seem fine. The only way I can get the warning lights to go off is by turning off the car and restarting.

you can go to an auto parts store and they can attach a hand held suction pump to the gas cap to see if it is sealed. if it fails the test, you will have to purchase a new one, rubber seals must have gone bad.

It could also be a vacuum leak in the tank itself that is keeping it from pressurizing properly. My car had a small crack where the filler neck meets the tank and they replaced it under warranty. I recall it being shockingly cheap for MB at around $750 installed.

I had that message a little while back, I'd forgotten to put the gas cap back on after filling her up. Once back on the warning went away.
