this reminds me of my old corvette days with the L98. we increased performance by adding a intake butterfly mod, new computer chip & adjustable fuel pressure regulator from arizona speed & marine. i realize that we are pushing way more hp than the 245 in which turned into 300 with the above mods plus flowmasters but i would think that if we had an adjustable fuel pressure regulator that it may be what you high hp guys are looking for and the next step would be increase the injector size.

If someone already mentioned this....my bad for repeating

Isn't the pressure regulator for the E55 on the back of the fuel rail?

The problem is that we have fuel pressure drop, so not enough volume of flow,, More pressure = less flow but if the fuel is there, then the injector will flow more.. First need proper matched pumps to hold stock PSI, then need either adj. prerssure or larger injectors.

New pump is here! 174.00 to my door and what a fine part.. At least 3 times as large and 3 times as heavy.. Box says made in Germany but pump says Czechoslovakia..

As soon as I find all the fittings, will post fuel pressure and other info..

I think the pump fittings are metric. The 255lph pump I git uses 10mm fittings.

the fittings are
Inlet : 18 x 1.5mm
Outlet : 12 x 1.5mm
If you want I have a 12x1.5 to 6 AN that I did not use(went to 8 AN)

I guess size may not always matter.. I decided to try and get the flow specs off my stock inline pump and think I found them.. The stock pump is a pretty damn nice twin screw design.. The question is, who is under-rating thier pump the most? Bosch 044 or Pierburg 7.00228.51.0 1 13,5 300 – 360 5 (72,5) 43,2 235 175 8 15 ‹ 16

Here is a link to the Pierburg site but you will need to scroll down a ways to find this part numbers specs.. http://www.ms-motor-service.com/xima...034_en_web.pdf

My part number on my pump, did not match exactly but this is an SL55 pump and is also measures excatly to my dimensions. Not sure if I should put the bosch on now or maybe call Bosch and see what they say..

My system is up and running, Only issue so far is the ease in wich the rear line comes uncovered and cavitates the pump, So more design to come...
