E55 shot at on freeway (I5, Stockton, Norcal)

http://www.kcra.com/news/24185927/detail.html

Check out that news report... I was watching the video and when it showed the vehicle, it turned out to be a w211 AMG... Glad nobody was hurt... It was a female driving the car... I sometimes wonder if people will get jealous after loosing in a race and shoot your vehicle... People can be pretty rowdy in the bay... I hope that's not the case here...

This is exactly why I keep a Glock 22 and extra magazines (loaded and chambered) in my vehicles at all times! If you aim a gun in my direction, you better kill me or I guarantee I will put your ass down!

It's pretty sad though that this crap happens!

Thericker 07-08-2010 06:52 PM

How'd you gather that from the news report?

Thericker 07-08-2010 08:14 PM

Hmmm pretty clear in the report???

Did you even read this report:confused:

A bullet narrowly missed a woman who was driving along Interstate 5 near Hammer Lane Thursday morning in Stockton.

The bullet pierced the front passenger window of the gray Mercedes sedan and lodged into the driver's side door.

The California Highway Patrol said it appears the shot came from off the freeway.

Witnesses said they didn't see any apparent road rage incidents nearby at the time.

The woman, who was driving to Sacramento from Discovery Bay, said she heard a gunshot, and that another driver heard it as well. Both drivers pulled over after the shooting.

The CHP and Stockton police are investigating the incident.

Glass fell onto the woman after the bullet shattered her window, but she was not injured.

WTF is up with that news reporter? he was so excited about reporting the news he couldn't get the words out of his mouth fast enough! LOL! hilarious:rolf:

Small town reporters, lol.

Everybody jumps to conclusions. Could have easily been some redneck shooting off a gun at tin cans. Who knows. Happens once in a while, but still a pretty rare event.

News people love to report this stuff and get everybody on edge, it sells ads.

novae500 07-09-2010 07:51 AM

punk assess shooting at cars...some even throw rocks onto highways around here. Luckily the bullet didn't go thru the window and injure the woman. Probably was a raven .22 or .25 $100 gun they used.

pearlpower 07-09-2010 11:08 AM

Damn! That was close. Glad she is OK.

Are bullet holes covered by insurance?

I would assume so... I see this being no different than hitting a tire tread on the roadway and shredding your front bumper, both not really your fault etc etc...

Hardest part I would assume is matching the window tint with the rest of the windows now... I've been in a similar situation before where a window had to be replaced and it was damn near impossible to match the tint exactly... To the naked eye you couldn't really tell, but from the interior the new window had a totally different sheen than the other windows... I guess that's not a bad trade-off for still being alive given the circumstances...

He is also full of crap.

MB_Forever 07-09-2010 03:31 PM

Although no one got hurt this time, this story could have had a much worse ending had the bullet hit the woman and caused a bigger accident or had the woman had a child who got killed, etc....

I hope they take the investigation seriously and follow through all the way to tend.

Yes, I did. We can all agree that the car was shot, and that the bullet missed her. But I didn't see any evidence that it was anything other than a stray bullet.

Stockton, California...the #2 Most Miserable City To Live In, according to Forbes. Only poor 'ole Cleveland tops it, with the remainder of the Mid West in tow...

After LeBron's announcement last night, Cleveland will distance itself in the rankings as the most miserable city.

Rolling around with firearms locked & loaded in your car...not a good idea.

Yes Cleveland will be more miserable now, if that's even possible. At least LeBron knew well enough to get OUT of there and go live it up in Miami.

mikey33 07-09-2010 06:56 PM

That dude is a stuttering mess haha, but seriously this **** happens all the time in California and I am just sad to see the victim was a fellow w211 amg lol.

black_e63 07-09-2010 07:20 PM

The Glock model 22 is chambered for a 40 S&W round.

No... This crap happens because there are people out there that don't give a s**t about other people and like to have fun shooting at and/or killing other people. I "roll around with firearms" for protection and protection only. Go preach your s**t to a different choir!

A Glock 22 isn't a .22 idiot. It's a 40-calibre... Know you guns before you make a stupid post like this!
