got bored made a quick vid 20-85 mph
I think the car is shifting early in first,what are you guys seeing for mph at the end of first?
I cant run it in manual because it shifts to slow and hits the rev limiter

Thanks guys.I trapped 117.54 in it last week and might go up tonight.
It pulls a lot harder in colder weather and as you can see it was like 87 out and 60% humidty.
My snowperformance stage 2 methanol kit came in yesterday too,cant wait to add that and a 168 pulley

I was running a 180mm but im on stock boost now with just cooling mods.I even took the 82mm TB out.
I have a renntech 168 coming!!! Car was slower than stock in the summer with 180 installed

if you leave it in 1st gear, the car will automatically shift it for you. it'll calculate the right time when it shifts and get the best out of the gear before it changes gear to 2nd.

Tgoss im planning on running evosport shortys soon
Sgt I reset the tcu and the car short shifts first now,I will try d next time.the car hit the Rev limiter at the track last week so it needs to learn to shift faster.you can't tell from the video but the car short shifted first big time...the TC was kicking in too lol

Nice run! I'm glad to see you're finally starting to enjoy your car. I love the fact that you're getting out there any having fun regardless of weather conditions, that's what it is all about .
Just to note...It looks like you might give hammer a run for his money on street tires. Your trap is only off 2 MPH in 87 degree weather and when hammer ran 119 it was high 50's - to low 60's. It looks like your track might be producing similar trap speeds as Sac?

tweaked tune
and that run was with 2 bags of ice on the s/c for 45 min to cool it down.
I also ran 1 gallon 104 oct tonight mixed with 6 gallons 93,but I have trapped 117 on reg 93 oct manytimes
but maybe at sac my car might trap 123 lol we will never know.
I got smoked by a mustang tonight and he ran a 10.7 @ 125
Im having fun with the car finally and wished I bought the evo headers that were on sale here not to long ago.I was so frustrated with the car then that I didnt even want it and was just putting it back to stock.

Not sure if your car would trap 123 since 2 other highly modded E's just trapped 125-126 in zero DA but like you said we'll never know. Either way your car is doing well and that's all that matters.
I would love to get some other stock E55's to come out and run Hammer Down's car. I know hammer raced a couple of LET tuned cars and that wasn't even close. It would be nice to to compare apples to apples to see how they do against the ole mighty Hammer.
What kind of 60' time did that mustang have? Was he in the 1.4's?
EDIT: Man, I was just thinking about this. Hammer Down's car is only 5 mph behind a stage 4 E55 (with cams) on the same track and same day....amazing!

I thought you were stock besides cooling? Maybe it was stock boost or something. Who ended up tweaking your tune?

It has tune and is running very well,the only mods it has now is that tweaked tune and cooling mods.
I took my car from trapping 112-113 100% stock to 116-117.6 with keeping boost stock but adding cooling mods and tuning.
I have no doubt in my mind that I can break 120 mph on stock boost and methanol/race gas.
I have learned alot with this car and the biggest issues we have is heat,keep it cold and you will trap high.
I dont know if hammer is on stock wheels also but im running e63 reps on 275/35/18s Ill get the slips later,I left them in the car.My best 60ft was 1.89 tonight

It has tune and is running very well,the only mods it has now is that tweaked tune and cooling mods.

I'm possibly thinking of down sizing my pulley back down to a 180. Ever since the 185 I have witnessed a substantial increase in my IAT's with no noticeable power gains if any. I'll track it once or twice more to see what I'll be doing.
I think you'll hit close to 120 as you are right now at your track. I assume your DA was around 2000 or so and I've seen a gain of 1.5 mph per 1000 feet. That would put you in that range. Give me all your info and we could calculate your times and MPH at zero DA.
I think before Hammer was running 19" Maya's on street tires but now he's running 17" DR's. His best time is a 12.0x on street tires at 118-119...i think. I'm not sure how he does it but has out ET and trapped every single stock or tuned only car that has come to sac so far....
From what I've heard meth works really really good....!

This would be your results down to zero DA. Just the other day I witnessed a stage 2 car trap from 112-119 all within 3-4 hours of the first run. DA plays an amazing roll on how our cars perform.
