I really don't think that's where you want to be hunting for performance packages... Do a search and you'll find many reasons why. I know a lot of members here put down great numbers with those kits but there's more than a few people around here that have chapped ***** by the company that put that together.

Kleemann will always be my power company of choice. Cory and crew have always treated me great and are very responsive.

Renntech is anther that is spoken very highly of, but very costly, but for very good reason.

Evosport - you can't go wrong here either.

I personally would stick with those 3 if you just want to stay company specific with power "packages". You can always throw together parts from this or there. There are a few great companies now that make incredible long tube headers like MBH and Floored fab.

Search button will help tremendously here.

Best o' luck

The VR performance packages were offered by VRP, which was a partnership between Victor and Vadim. However, the company is no longer in business although you may still be able to buy some of the parts off some of the members here.

to get to 550 RWHP,

You'll want to do the following:

-180 or 185mm pulley
-Cooling upgrade
-Long Tube Headers
-82mm TB
-Custom Tune

Let me know if we can help in anyway.

There seems to be a big difference in what it takes to get to 500whp and what it takes to get to 550whp.

Granted LT headers, 180 pulley, 82mm throttle body, intake and tune should easily get you to 500whp. Add cooling mods if you want 500whp for more than one pass...lol.

At that point you would need to rely on full cat and resonator delete, meth and cams to get you the extra 50 whp...those are always the hardest. That extra fifty will probably cost a **** ton more than the first 100...lol.

Not arguing with James or Chas, just haven't seen or heard of a ton of cars putting down a significant amount over 500whp....even if you add in the "dyno numbers are BS argument"

Good luck with your quest!

Oh and I would say 500whp is obtainable for about $5-7K, depending on your parts choice. More if you go with Evosport or RennTech

Brian I don't know what your final numbers are, but if I had to guess you would dyno over 550whp on a dyno-jet.

Well numbers are numbers...but in this local heat wave, with that dyno dynamics at Function Tuned I was at 430whp/500 wtq. I believe you were at 500whp on the same dyno in better conditions. BT, with just a tune was knocking on my numbers when he dynoed at the same time as you. Of course if you were to look at the graphs I think you would see that my power delivery was more dramatic and that translates to a more fun driving experience.
The dyno number question has so much room for discrepancy based on type of dyno and conditions, which is why I don't put much stock in them.
However the difference between 500 and 550 wheel horsepower is significant, so that is what my comment is based on. It is clear that there are tons of 500whp cars out there...regardless of dyno type. You simply cannot say that about 550whp cars...my only point.
Cheers

Gotcha. I see what you are saying. Track #s are the main numbers, and we are going to have a crew of black e55s out representing this year!!

Getting my car dynoed on Dyno Dynamics 450DS Saturday afternoon just to see what it puts down. Then next week ordering Stage 2 from Eurocharged including 172mm pulley / custom fabricated long-tube headers / heat exchanger / Johnson pump / Stage 2 tune. Master tuner from Eurocharged is flying down from Illinois down here to Florida to personally tune my E55.
I have been told regardless of what it puts down that I should expect another 110-120 rwhp. Most accurate out there is Mustang Dyno, which E55 should put down 360-370. Hopefully the end result should be 480 rwhp. To break 500 you must do TB. And i have custom built x-pipe to free some flow.
This little excitement will run just under $5k in parts and another $2k for install, but should be worth every penny.
I will post results in about 4 weeks when everything is finished.
Helpful suggestions / ideas / past experience is much appreciated.

I would think 100whp from 172 pulley/tune and LT headers is a generous estimate.

I highly recommend doing a bit more research here on products and tuners before you commit to anything.
