I suspect many in this forum, that consider themselves "car guys" at one point owned a VW (myself included, 2 actually.)
Different wheels on VW's is part of their culture.. For example:
2-sets of Land Rover wheels - The ones on the black car too

BTW, Lamborghini wheels are also 5x112 (although the MKIV's are 5x100)

By the logic of the OP, there's probably a Lamborghini somewhere on blocks and missing seats!
Another Lambo-set

You typically see wheels from anything non limited to: Porsche, Maybach, Mercedes, Land Rover, Bentley, Audi, Lexus, etc...

I found the source!

But as I said.. you have to account for the different bore sizes, longer lug lengths (and diameter 14mm vs. 12mm) and smaller series tires (VW OEM size is 225/40/18)

Not sure what all this seriousness with the VW pic is either. 99% sure it was a joke. I thought it was pretty funny.
Does suck for the owner of the MB though.
And to Ducky..while the VW (or Audi) owners might not in fact be involved in stealing AMG wheels \ Lambo Wheels \ Seats \ Bentley wheels etc, they are buying these wheels or parts from people that actually do. It boils down to supply and demand...they provide the demand and the schlubs stealing the parts provide the supply. Also opening a wheel bore is simple any decent machine shop can do that for $20 a wheel, people have been that for decades and changing wheel studs is a very simple procedure. Are you really that naive?

There IS a difference between saying VW owner's are thieves, versus your actual alleged charge of perpetuating the theft. I would, however, state that the two events are more likely mutually exclusive. To pin it on one group of "car guys" is poor taste.
It's obvious that you truly think that mercedes wheels are stolen for the sole purchase of VW owners.. Who is the naive one?
Quid pro quo I guess.

Not to mention people wanted to replace their curbed wheels.
Case in point even though these, like the GTI posted, are reps. (BTW not suggesting that this person purchased stolen wheels, but that the scenario is likely)
Quid pro quo I guess.

Whats up with all these VW schmoes and other manufacturers rims?
u are an idiot, the owner of those rims posted on vwvortex that his rims got stolen and that the rims were listed on ebay, another member saw the rims and notified him. Police raided the place where the rims were and the guy whol stole it was no where to be found.
I do believe they are the only set of HRE of that model with that offset and width
