REAR DIFFUSER

My diffuser is peeling off and I see the clear side of the double tape still on the car when I lift the diffuser up. What is the best way to secure it again without damaging the paint and/or the diffuser?

I think the best thing to do now is peel it off completely and re-do everything (if you can). You shouldn't damage the paint if you are careful, I pulled my stock plastic piece off without damaging the paint, I did however crack the plastic piece, (i wasn't careful since I was installing a carbon fiber one anyways). Then use some adhesive remover like goo-gone or something similar to get the adhesive off. Key thing is clean the area with alcohol to get any grease off, you need a clean surface for the tape to stick too. Good luck, hope this helps.

Use sheet metal screws from the inside of the bumper into the DF

I put 6 screws and double tapes. Its will stick in that bumper unless someone hit it hard.

I had to pull mine off & re-install it after a failed first attempt.....the holes for the 2 end bolts need to be very close to the bottom edge of the bumper for it to sit in the groove of the bumper properly.

It looks & fits great now. I bought a roll of the 90mil 3M heavy duty tape & used that the 2nd time.

I went ahead and peeled mine back a bit because it was starting to pop off near the crack that lines up with the bumper and used silicone with clamps. Needless to say I do not think it will be popping off anymore.

Keep in mind that the rear bumper flexes with hard launches so you may want to keep a little leeway for the diffuser as well.
