On my way home from work, I got to have some fun with what looked to be a stock C5 vette, not a Z06.

I saw him coming up in the fast lane and I was one lane over. I geared down from D to 3rd, and as he pulled along side me, I gunned it to see if he was game.

Looked like he was as he went WOT and from his already faster passing speed. My pull started from 4000rpms in 3rd, by 6500rpms in 3rd we were neck and neck. I let the sport mode upshift to 4th and continued the pull by 4 cars and then shut down

He did not look over and just went on his way. I was pleased how my BEAST ran as she is bone stock as far as go fast mods go. I do believe he was a little stunned at the WOLF in sheeps clothing.

if it was a stock c5 you had no probelms with him no matter what. I ran a c6 400 hp with exhaust which adds another 20 or so, z51 package, and a good driver, and i was neck and neck with him. A stock c5 with 350 hp would be no problem.

I am a big American Muscle fan and give them props when due. Once I get my 04 cobra back from the shop, I am going to run it against my stock E55. The cobra will have around 470rwhp/480rwtq with 3800lbs. The driver has run 8's in the 1/4, so he knows what he is doing and I will be running my e55.

I am going to take vids and post them up.
