E63 Bumper - engine shield

Guys

When replacing the front bumper on my E55 to a E63 one, will i need to replace the plastic engine sheild under the car?

done a search on all the E63 front bumper conversion threads but cant see an answer!

if you want to do it right yes but if you dont mine a 1" gap from the bumper to the shield then no i didnt =)

hmm at high speeds that 1" gap could catch some air and cause problems

cheers guys

I may go with the upgrade and cheange the engine shield out later, engine shield alone costs £120 which is near enough $200.

ok i have the engine shield now, was also missing some clips for foglight mounts.

I am just working on getting the new PDC brackets to fit, middle ones are fine, striaght on, but the 4 outer ones are a pig as the brackets need to be cut to fit in the space.

will post some pics soon
