I even put a down payment on it then backed out. The price, the warranty, gas mileage all scared me off, knowing my wife would drive it daily,it just wasn't time yet. Then I almost bought a 335i, but the techs at Babbitt scared me away from it said too many problems with the twin turbos and fuel pump. So Ive wanted to go Mercedes so the E class is the rival of the 5 series, I wanted more horsepower but Im not even driving it that much.
After driving it a few weeks now, let me say this, it is quicker to 60 than my 540ia, but the e350 is no 540. I already miss the drive and feel of the 540 the 8cyl tourque, the bulid etc... Now my 540 had its problems but never stranded me. The E350 is suppose to be MB's version of the 530, but parts of the vehicle seem cheap, don't get me wrong its a great car, but BMW I will probably be back, save a used 535,550 or what the hell a M5 for me. Thanx for all the great advise for the last couple of years.Ken

The last I posted I was looking at a 2005 E55 AMG which I had placed a deposit on.Many members had given input. Was just letting them know I for the time being was not going with the e55..Don't respond if you think me not worthy to post.Perhaps there was a little bit of dry humor involved here as well.

Agree with above statement bout wrong section, but I'll play for a sec.
After reading your post several times, my only input is that you should have snagged an E500.
The 302hp V8 was a blast for me to drive and I really enjoyed the car.
I only went to the dark side when I got killed by an S4. Vowed that would never happen again.
Now at 700hp, perhaps I have gone a bit too far? Nahhhhhhh!!!![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Now off to the E350 section for you mister. Enjoy the car.
***edit just noticed the 500 is now the 550. 382 hp!!?? Dayum, they have come a long way.

Yes
Yes I'am a little disappointed. In the end I knew my wife would drive it more than me. So thats why I went practical. My son told me I should go for the amg or the m5, but I went with the conservative angel on my shoulder. Yes I'm already thinking about my next car.In fact looked at E55 AMG today cause one just popped for sale in the Gilbert area.
Anybody want to buy a 2007 e350 with 25k miles,still under warranty ??

Get rid of the wife since your jealous she would drive it more than you.
How do you go from M5/CTS-V Price range to E350..?
And whats the market price of 07 E350? Isn't it the same as 03-04 E55 with 50-60k Miles?

2004 E55
yea, the crowd's tough b/c they don't remember you posting here during your decision process. I wouldn't regret your decision one bit, all of the concerns you had about the E55 given your intended use, were valid then and still hold true today. Chances are (given your intended use), you would be equally, if not more, dissapointed had you purchased an E55. At least this way you paid less (I assume) and will be paying less in maintenance, etc.

Well 2007 e350s run from about 25k-32k, I paid 25k. I looked at 2004-2005 E55s for 24 -35k.I looked at a 2006 ctsv for 26k. Not a big difference in price. I am in construction and drive an f150 to work. I try to a buy a car that I like but the wife would drive, its called marriage when you try to consider someone elses opinion in a purchase. I can buy any car I like I have great credit and some cash but do I want to buy a rich mans trash and make the repairs he didn't. I would never buy any of these cars brand new this e350 dropped 50% of its value in 3 years.
The E350 is a nice car and I like it, but I don't love it.
I don't understand why you can't vent or ***** a little on these sites with out everyone making it personal.
Don't worry I won't post again. Ken P.S.The 350 had 23k miles still under warranty.

535.. is affordable and its a perfect daily driver.
I like the E 211 design better, but the 535 is a solid performer.
load the map you need for the wife and load the map when you get to drive it.
good luck with the 350.. there as common as a civic around So cal.

Seriously? Throw some more emoticons on there why don't you.
How about you post on this one being off topic?

That's right, you wont, because you suck the dick of all the people you aspire to be... Too bad your parents will never buy you the car you want to own...
To the OP.. as you can expect, people in this forum are too stuck-up and conceited to not understand your own intentions.. yet one of their own will graciously post any number of off topic posts and it will be entirely admired by the sun-worshipers..
Baaaa-baaaa black sheep.

I am here in hk with my wife, she is expecting our first child aug 20. We decided to have her give birth in hk so our child can retain Hong Kong citizenship as well as Canadian citizenship once we return back to Canada. The S60R was 6 speed and the back seat was not great.
