Is this Edmunds TMV close ?
2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E63 AMG 4dr Sedan , 26k miles, black on black
new tires, brakes and rotors, windshield.
P2 package (nav, cd changer, hk stereo, keyless go, pano, xenon's, vent seats, elec trunk closer, etc)
Edmunds shows a dealer cpo retail @ $56.5k for a "clean car", $58.4 for "outstanding" condition.
Is this realistic ?

Last week I bought an 08 Black/Black E63 w/20K miles, for $56,000 flat (plus tax n lic). It has the P2 pkg, Carbon Fiber Trim, Parktronic, pwr r/blind, Alcantra headliner, Ipod, Panorama, pwr trunk, & voice control.
I'm thinking I did OK, but on a side note, I think I got fleeced on the extended CPO MB warranty.
Regardless I love the car, and all the ones I looked at with similar ammenities sold from 56K-61K.
This is my first Benz! The power is awesome, the suspension is great, & Conti3's, I'm lovin it!

2 additional years cost me $4,400! It's all negotiable but as mentioned by Komp55, it's well worth the peace of mind and could save a big piece of your wallet if you should experience a major repair. On an expensive hi performance car I do feel it is prudent move.
I just gave my little femme fetale a bubble bath & a polish. She's sweet but can be a little wicked when she wants.

Keep in mind that everything in California costs more, but still, I did get fleeced. The original costs was $4995, according to the dealership.

I'm looking at a private sale for the same car as in the op and was quoted $3850 for 6/75.
There's only 1 yr left on the original warranty (owner purchased 8/07-they must have come out early that yr)
So the 6/75 would be good until 2013, an additional 3 yrs.
Seems reasonable from what I've been reading, especially considering the cost of a CPO @ 1 additional yr.
