New Member and New Owner of an E55 AMG
1) Main battery in the trunk
2) Accessory battery under the hood
3) Alternator
4) Voltage Regulator
The first time I went through this last year it was the main battery. The second time about a week or two ago, it was the accessory battery, which was only 9 months old (read: 10.33V). Checking the main battery also confirmed it was good and the alternator was doing its' job. Make sure to check the voltages before you change batteries out. Like you said, no sense in changing things out and wasting money.
How about we get some people from SoCal together, and some people from NM together? Two rallies meeting somewhere in AZ? We'll hang out and drive for a day, pick a cool hotel for everyone to stay at. At least then I'll have the chance to prove that I can walk the walk
lol

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
but, the battery error could be the front, rear or both. Pull off the cover under hood.. the little battery is easy to get to. Date should be on top. If it says 2003 (or 2002), replace it..

Lol.
