Anyone use any other weight oil on their car?
Like the title said, anyone use any other weight on their car beside the manufacture recomendation? I've always use 10w30 fully synthetic oil in my car. And I usually change the oil right around 3k miles.

I have not heard of one oil related failure in the M113 that used M1.

I've used 0W-40 for years in all my cars as a matter of practice, but now I'm having a very hard time finding it. As far as I know NAPA is the only parts store selling it around here. I'd be very careful about running a 30wt oil in these cars.
I also change it every 9-10K, and I don't see any reason to do it sooner unless you only drive the car 5K a year.
