05 E55
request for asylum

As a long time Corvette guy I am coming to you to request asylum. The basis for my request is I just got my 05 E55 and Corvette guys do not take kindly to having their butts handed to them by 4 door sedans. I fear my being welcome in the Corvette community has been compromised. As some of you may know there was an issue with the car when my GF flew down to SC to get it and bring it back up here just north of toledo. In a panic and with noone else to turn to and being nothing more than a lowly nOOB, I signed up MBworld in search of guidance. What I got was overwhelming support and advice, just flat out mind boggling!! I am sure you all know how exciting it is to get your first 55.. I am on beyond ecstatic. I will post pics as soon as she gets back with the camera, just incase you are unaware what a black e55 looks like..

I will be anxiously awaiting to learn the status of my request as I have no less than 400,000 question to ask.. Thanks again to all that called and replied.. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott and (a still kinda pissed off) Melissa

Your request has been granted. You will find the forum to be equally helpfull when asking general questions as when in a "panic".. I would recommend using the search feature when possible, (Im a noob too) and most of what I have wanted to ask had been covered.. It also prevents the "Use the search button noob" response from some of our less forgiving members.

You will love the car, and DO post up your questions.. I didn't know my car had a 6 disk CD changer until a guy with an S55 was riding with me. He hit the button on my dash, and a CD changer poped out.. I was like: NICE!!!

Seach: Hidden feathures of E55

Dyno Mode
Admin within Command
All the goodies in instrunet cluster

There is a lot to learn on these cars.. FUN DAYS AHEAD!!

Glad it all worked out!

I agree with above, at least search a couple of times before asking a question.

Most of the time, someone has asked it before and you risk the dreaded STFF response.

Great bunch of guys though as you learned this weekend.

Congrats on getting the car sorted out and make good use of the search button. I've learned a lot in the past few weeks just by poking around through the use of various keywords.

Welcome aboard. We'll have to meet up at Milan Dragway for some runs after the cooler fall weather gets here.

I actually decided on a GTR vs the Vette because of the ignorance I remembered from the Vette forums while I had my last 3 z06's. Welcome.

I'm a former C5 and C6 guy and it is actually a great community. Don't let a few spoil it. I had my C6 and E55 at the same time and the guys that were really serious loved the E55.

Frankly, now that I own a 996TT, I find Porsche owners to live up to their stereotype -- and it isn't a good one.

The Porsche owners in Hawaii are good people.

Welcome to your escape from asylum, I am sure those guys on the corvette forum are already labeling you as a trader lol. The only rule here is that there are no rules....

Be sure to use the search function because anything you can think of probably has already been covered. Lets see those pictures
