I have the 180mm ASP Pulley - Question on Tune

All,

Quick question as Pulley's seem to be the topic of the day, I have the ASP 180mm pulley with me now, but not installed.

Currently I have the Let Stage 1 tune on my car and am happy with it. While Jerry will retune my car at no cost with the 180mm pulley installed I'm a bit impatient.

If I installed the 180mm pulley on but left my existing Stage 1 tune on now (so no re-tune), would I experience any issues? Let's tuning laptop is stuck in Italy so it may be a few weeks before I can get it.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated, just don't want to damage my engine by putting on the 180mm pulley.

Thanks for allowing me to ask such a basic/silly question!

Alex

you can drive the car with the 180 on it. just dont get on it too much becasue a larger pulley will lean out the AFR

Thanks Shardul, stupid question but I don't quite understand what AFR is?

Thanks again.

AFR = Air Fuel Ratio? (Hey I went to college)

lol yes AFR is air fuel ratio. Bigger pulley = more air in the AF ratio = which tends to lead to a lean condition

Well I think I will have an answer for you shortly. I will be changing tuners so I can tell you who is better for a 180 between at least two tuners. I will data log both before changing over and I will give you pure data and feed back.

Please do Rover, as I have a 175 sitting here and also have the LET base tune and can get retuned at no-cost.

Yes me as well Roverron I'm in the exact same postion as AWOL just with the 180mm pulley, so info from you would be very useful!

Thanks.
