G service

Well I am about due for the G service on my 55. I do my own maintance but wanted to know a few things.

1. Are you guys really changing your plugs at 32k? If yes has anyone tried the E3's yet? I saw how they work and I am thinking about them.

2. Do you all use mobile 1? I have been a long time Castrol user but if this car works better with the Mobile 1 I will go that route.

3. What brake pads are you guys using. I want to reduce the dust.

4. Is it good to change the crank sensor now with only 32k or should I wait?

Thanks for your assistance.

1. Spark plugs suppose to be at 100K, I did mine at 75K.
2. I've always use Mobil 1, but I'm about to switch to Amsoil
3. No idea here
4. To me, the CPS is a time thing, not mileage thing. Mine went out at 84K miles and it's '04.

Hope this help.

Cool I will not worry about the plugs for a while.

Why switch to Amsoil?

My car is an 04 but only has 30k on the clock so I may just pick one up to have.

Nah, 32k too soon for plugs. Wait til 50-60K or so and then decide.

May wanna have them pull a couple of course and take a peek

Oil, Mobil 1 all the way.

If you have a few extra bucks I say swap out the CPS. Known defective part and sure could'nt hurt ya know.

One thing I WOULD do is swap out your supercharger belt. I can't tell you how many guys trip when replacing the supercharger belt and feel the difference if theirs is a small bit worn and slipping a touch. Again, it's an extra cash issue but I would do SC belt before CPS if it comes down to it. Even if the tech is screaming it looks fine....SWAP IT.

People has been using the porterfields, and also EBC brakes, both of these pads are low dust, with great bite. I own a E63 so I can't comment, on the other things.
