Congrats Vic, top notch stuff as usual and I love the choice of wheels
One observation:
Is it me or do the pictures look a bit overdone.........like too much photoshop? No disrespect to you or Auktane (I know he does killer work) but I would love to see some photos that look less altered?
Please just ignore my post if I'm out of line.

Thanks James, honestly I dont remember my W211- its been about 3 years. The power on this car though is good- pretty linear and the MCT shifts fast, not DCT fast but fast. I run with ESC off all the time which allows for full TQ too. Its not a bad car- it wasnt my first choice but the price was strong and I knew with a few mods it would come to life.

Awesome car! Looks great.
I know its an apples to oranges comparison, but what do you feel it may have in common with the GTR? The differences are obvious as they are different purpose cars - but stuff like acceleration - how did you find the actual day to day feeling?

I wish I could say I was joking but seeing your ride really made me re-evaluate the whole 212 thing. I've seen a couple 212 63's around here and I can honestly say that I was neither impressed nor struck with a desire to "upgrade". After seeing what you did to yours, I honestly can't wait until the TT's come out, drive down the price more and then I'm hunting for for a white 63 and following your lead. You're pics actually made me lust after a 212 - something I literally thought was impossible. I can't wait to see what the body kit does for the back end and the day I get to throw up the pic of the black and white E's in my garage

Not much to compare- the GTR is a super performer while the E is a luxo cruiser. The GTR is loud, violent and just flat out rude (mine is medium modded) and very stiff on even the nicest of roads. The car has no resonators or post cats and just wakes up the dead at WOT. The E is refined but still is no slouch in 0-60 runs and soundwise. There is a very nice grumble to this V8. I did the resonator delete and gained minimal sound but enough to notice. Handling is quite impressive in the E compared to other sedans I have owned. I cant compare it to the GTR or 997TT but it sure does a good job for a 2 ton plus car. The steering is vastly improved along with the front suspension and chassis response over the other Benzes Ive owned (W210 E55, W211 E55, W215 CL65). As a daily driver Id take the E over the GTR. The GTR is one of the best 2nd, 3rd, or whatever car you can have. My GTR probably traps over 130 (similar modded cars run high 10's at 130-133) and is under 3 seconds in a zero to 60 romp or very close. It truly is an apples to oranges comparo with the GTR winning in performance and the E winning in almost every other category.

My post was more about wanting to see how Vic's car would actually look on the street without any of your artistic touches.
BTW, I like busting Vic's ***** so I could never consider just doing this:

Vic, thanks for the notes - here is just one more question: Which of those cars you have now give you that jolt of surprise after you've been away for a few days? For example, when I drive some regular car, and then hop into an AMG, It's like I forgot how quick and powerful it is compared to a regular car - so any of yours give you that "jolt" when you haven't driven it for a few days?
