MPG

I have been using it for years now, and it makes a difference in both MPG and responsiveness. The amount will however vary with every car. Usually, 2-3 oz per 10 gallons of fuel is what most websites recommend, but for me, that actually decreased MPG a bit. For my '02 S500, 1 oz/10 gallons seems to be the sweet spot. without the acetone, I get about 400 miles on a tank, with acetone, I can stretch it to 430-440 miles on a tank of gas. Maybe a slightly more acetone might yield me even a bit more MPG, but Im satisfied with the current dosage and benefits. Another major benefit of acetone in gasoline is much lower emissions, which is especially imprortant for all of you that live in states/countries where smog tests are mandatory.
But here is the trick on how to get it to work. You need to reset the ECU mixture adaptation. you can achieve this in two ways, one is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, which will reset everything on the car, or you can just reset the mixture adaptation through SDS, which is my prefered method. I suggest you start with 1.5-2 oz per 10 gallons, and note the change in MPG, if it drops, decrease the amount of acetone, if it improves, you can either stick with it or tweak it slightly to your liking.
Now, there are many opponents to using acetone in your gas tank. Many, if not all of the sceptics, are fueled(no pun intended) by the oil companies, who for obvious reasons dont want the people to use acetone, or even know about its benefits in the engine. Some of their many arguments are that acetone deteriorates rubber in your fuel system. This is somewhat true, as acetone does alter the composition of rubber, but slightly, and at full concentration. The concentration of acetone in your gas tank is much, much lower than that needed to deteriorate rubber, which would take many years, possibly decades for acetone to destroy rubber hoses in your fuel system, by which time that same rubber hose will fall apart on its own.
But I have to say, try and use acetone in your gasoline at your own risk.
