Headers or Quaife LSD?
Peeps,
Within the next two weeks my ASP 180mm pulley and upgraded HE with be installed with an EC "Jerry" tune so I"m already planning for my next mod. (Yes I know it's a sickness)
If you were me, would you go with a new Quaife LSD or go for headers? Headers will give me more HP especially with the mods thus far, but the LSD will allow me to put more power on the ground.
Price will be about the same with install so totally open to advice. In the end I'll do both but trying to do this in a sequential/logical manner.
Advice welcome!
Thanks.
Alex

headers - am a big believer now that they are on - also - if you're getting the tune in the next two weeks - you want to get it tuned with all the engine performance mods done (learned the hard way).

i installed the LSD, but i still can't lunch it good, they spin alot but not changing from right to left, lol.
i feel small diffrence. don't know if it is worthy.
u better go for LT headers, since u will not lunch it always for stop. and u t getting a tune, do it once.

I guess I have a bias, However if you want to put a set in your hands. Go into Dyno-Comp we have a set in stock. Strangely no one new about this mystery set until some very late Spring cleaning yesterday. Totally brand new, never used. So it might be your best bet to check them out in person. rather than relying on pictures. No pressure what so ever. If you just need to get out and do some window shopping and be around cool cars. Stop in.

If your plans are to have a quick street car, I would go with the headers hands down. I prefer the MBH and had great results with them!
Now, if you plan to make this more of a track car running drag radials and lot's of track events, I would go with the Quaife. More of a preventive maintenance issue as all that torque switching from one wheel to the other will break something.

Awesome thanks guys headers it is! I'll have the 180mm and upgraded HE installed in the next two weeks, just waiting for the remote laptop from EC to do the tune.
My car is a daily driver (100 miles a day to and from work daily) and probablly won't see a track anytime soon so appreciate the advice. Still I do enjoy the occasional free way onramp blasts. Then once that's in I'll go for headers (probablly a few months later).
Thanks guys very much. As soon as I get the goodies installed (all at Dyno Comp by the way) I'll do a dyno pull and post the numbers here and perhaps do a little filming and put it on YouTube so you can see some numbers.
I know many of you have much faster E55's than I do but I'm slowly catching up!
Thanks again!
