Has anyone else stripped the rear plate screws? I think someone working on my car tightened them too much, and now there is no thread inside.

Has anyone had this and fixed it? I don't really want to take the whole trunk apart and put nuts on the inside, but this is what I think I am going to have to do.

Just put a rivnut in.

Wow, those are cool. I ended up going to home depot and getting some larger bolts and forcing them in. I could have the problem again, since I essentially just threaded the plastic. These rivnuts seem like great long term solutions.
