SLR Bosch o2 sensor

Bank 2 Sensor 2 threw codes last week in my e55

inactivated

heater not working

Was going to replace and here are my options:

$192 for Bosch stock replacement from Carquest takes 3 days to get

Then I looked for a universal and found none for my model year
but they have them for the SLR.

$89 for Bosch universal for 2005 SLR can pick up today and fix issue

A buddy of mine is saying they are the exact same sensors and the Universal will work fine. He just used the universal on the slr a couple weeks ago, but I want to make sure it will work in my vehicle.
Anyone know if we use similar or the same o2 sensors..

I called benz, and obviously the part numbers are different and one is double the price for the SLR, surprise, but I figure they could have different length wiring harnesses or something hence diff. part numbers.

I really would like to wrap this up today and I appreciate any help or advice.

Just buy the cheaper ones. If they don't fit, use your stock harness and splice them in. I didn't have to raplace mines yet, but I have to extend mines and it worked fine. If you have to splice them, just do one wire at a time. Good luck.

Really

Wonderful, but the o2 sensors are the same though?

Just wanted to make sure since they do not list a universal sensor for an 03 E55.

Thanks

O2 sensors are all the same (unless they are wideband and even then all widebands are the sMe) it's the wiring harness that is car specific
