Is this a good deal?
I have been negotiating with a Audi dealer for the following:
2005 Silver E55
29,000 miles
Navigation
Pano Roof
Keyless Go
Dynamic Seats
Bixenon
3 year 36k warranty from Fidelity
Clean carfax. All maintenance work done at a MB dealer. It was a trade in. We had it inspected at a MB Dealer as if it would be CPO'd and came back with a clean bill of health
Purchase price $36,000.00
What do you think?

06MKV,
The only thing that really matters, is that your happy with the car. If you think that its a good deal, then buy it. From the sounds of it, it looks like its a clean, well maintained E55, and the benefits is that it has an extended warranty. That alone is a plus in my book. Go buy it, and Welcome to the AMG Family!!!

Seems pretty good to me....
I just paid $33,700 for 2005 with 45K miles with same options. The car was sitting in the showroom floor next to a new S65 and a new C63. I have never seen a 5 yr old car look this damn good. The car is in absolutely perfect condition inside and out.

Sadly the truth is it is a used car that is 6 model years old with very low miles. Making it a "Unique" car. The value of that car is what the potential buyer believes. If you think you can find another 2005 E55 with 26k in a color you like with warranty and options for less than $35k, then I would pass but sadly in most cases, this is not the case. If you love it, buy it! Even with 90k miles it is worth 18k or so with those options. SO a $16k cost of ownership for a car you truely love that costs 100k new is nothing. Thats my 2 cents, drive and enjoy!

Thanks everyone for their input.
I just don't see how some people are buying these cars for under 30k. Granted if I wanted a black one then I think it is possible.
There was a car that sold at the Riverside Manheim Auction for 32,500. It is now for sale at a Ford dealership in Los Angeles. They are asking 36k for it. They won't budge! I just don't understand, A dealer is willing to pay more for the car at an auto auction then what it is really worth

Mike, your car has all the expensive options plus new brakes plus 3 year fidelity warranty and all that with 29,000 miles.
It's hard to compare different sales as not all the cars are similar.
You did very well and enjoy the car.

If you have the cash, and that is the car you want, buy it. After all, it is only money, and you can make more of in the future. Or you can wait for a better deal on a car that may never come along.
