Looking in to buying 03-04

So I was going for an S55 but after consulting a Mercedes Specialist and the S-AMG forum Ive come to the conclusion that the E55 is the best way to go.
Now with that said i would like to know what little quarks and tips and problems that come with that car. I was told be my local indie Mercedes service/repair shop that there aren't as many problem and what there was is not nearly as expensive.
So what say you?

Unless you really need the room in the back, go with the E. The E really has plenty of room. and the fact that the E will be fast and handle better is also a plus. Either way cant go wrong.

First odity that you will notice is that you will need a neck brace and gum guard

I researched it a bit as well earlier, and I'd suggest going w/ 04+ and avoid the first yr of the E55 w/ new engines. In general, going w/ the last year before MB makes changes has been GREAT for me - the bugs have generally been worked out. Besides, if you can get 04 or even 05...you might get lucky and find out that still has extended warranty. Good luck.
