Is aftermarket exhaust even worth it for our 55s? If so, what brands do you recommend?

Worth it for what? Sound yes, go with eisenmann.. But for performance NO its not worth it.

I assume you are talking about just mufflers? Or are you asking about headers, cat delete, etc.? Performance gains from mufflers are minimal, most people get them for sound. However, gains from headers are a different animal. Headers are well worth it.

In terms of brands of exhaust (mufflers), seems like Eisenmann and Meisterschaft are very good, but pricey.
