No, they are TTM new ram air scoops and the glaze from behind the grill is the reflector lettering on their scoops
What I did was paint the intake covers, wrapped the tubes, installed K&N filters, installed TTM intake scoops, painted the AMG lettering in Viper red, painted the oil cap in Viper red, painted the little red valve cap near the throttle body in Viper red.
With the K&N filters, wrapped intake tubes and TTM scoops, honest to god I felt a SOTP difference. I can also hear alot more intake at high speeds.

I don't get how having those large "air scoops" blocking a large amount of airflow into the radiator can be a good thing. 
Plus, every time I see gold under the hood, I can't help but think of:
Add the reflective lettering on the scoops and it just becomes too blinged out for me; not feeling it at all.

Thanks for the great comments guys, really means alot. What what it so gratifying is that I performed all the mods myself and took extra care doing it. Made me fall in love with her all over again.
To answer a few questions, I got the wrap from www.summitracing.com and they have just about every type you need. I went to the 2" x 15' and that is how much each intake tube has on it. Seems like alot of wrap but I wanted it on there thick. If I had to do it again. I would have spent the extra loot and got the 21' roll. It would have made the tubes look huge

Chawkins, your engine bay is sick looking!!!! Bruce did a fantastic job on the scoops, the best I've seen so far. Once again guys, great job and very nicely done!!!!!

I love the rings, it was my first mod, otherwise thanks emoving The install was pretty easy except it is kind of tough to get on the underside of the scoop when installing the lug nut. You will know what I mean once you get there, just don't drop it. You have to cut out the whole plastic turd box, lign up the scoop, drill one hole and install screw and lug nut.
