Map sensor info

For those who want to know
Stock map sensor reads up to 25 psi
25=4.95v
0 =1.9v

Cool. I will adjust my logging options for that scale to get a better PSIg reading for boost.

Just remember those are absolute numbers 25 PSI is only 10.3 lbs of boost (atmospheric is 14.7 lbs of pressure)

Can Someone break this down for me, want to make sure I'm not figuring this wrong.
I'm trying to figure out if I'm maxing my map sensor, I fished my map sensor harnes out of the car connected to a spare map sensor, built a tool so I could compress the sensor and logged the voltage as I rasied the boost. at 25 psi it maxed the votage at 4.95. I would assume the 14.7 of pressure is figured in to the logging softwear when you calibrate it? There no way 10.3 is the max the stock sensor it would be maxed on a stock car. I'm seeing peak numbers of just over 19 psi.

yes the atmosphere baro pressure is already calibrated. so the max 25psi reading you are seeing is right.
BTW are you boosting all the way to 19psi?

Barometric pressure acts on the sensor just sitting on your desk. That's probably why 0 PSIg already generates the 1.9v from the sensor
