I just found this thread while searching for some info on the DashDAQ and Im glad I did!! Can anyone email me the skin for the AMG please? Also, anywhere I can find info on how to modify my own skin? I opened up the skin software but I havent been able to do anything with it. I click on almost everything and nothing happens. Thanks guys!

+1 on the AMG theme. I PMed Bramage cos he made it but i think hs pm inbox is full so i sent an email too but no luck yet so I got creative lol.
as far as the skin editor, you have to open a theme file (i forget the extension). You can find one of such files in the zip file from which you got the skin editor. Extract the zip, go to themes and you should find the raw theme files in there.

I'll see if I can't pull the AMG theme off of mine sometime soon. I need to update the firmware as well.

I was gonna start a thread but I might as well ask here first. Is anyone monitoring IDCs with their dashdaq/zt-2?

I very well could be wrong, but I don't think the PID is available. Did those docs help you out with the install Yaw?

Thanks Bro! I finally got it! (Had issues with my email). 2 questions.

1) How do I open it up in the skin editor in case I want to move the gauges around?

2) I formatted a SD memory card using the DashDAQ and then I saved the files you email me to the SD card. But when I tried to open them (install) in the DashDAQ nothing should up in the DashDAQ. Is there something Im doing wrong?

Thanks again Bro!

1) Skin editor uses a different file type. The skin file is the output you get after compiling the raw files from skin editor. It works in one direction.
2)You need to put the theme file in the "transfer" folder of the sd card. Use the dashdaq to format the card, pop the card in the comp and put the skin file in the transfer folder. Then repeat the install process. Once that's done go and select that theme as the active one.

May be Im missing something but I don't see a "transfer folder". I open up the SD card in the laptop and I dont see any folder. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks!

Go into the options of the SD card and select 'backup' while the card is installed. Once it has finished the backup, shut off the DD, take the card out and plug it into the reader on your PC. You should now see the transfer folder.

Hey Steve, do you know if it's possible to feed a simulated narrowband out from the Zeitronix? Look forward to seeing you and your beast again this year at Timmayfest!

I am reading wideband with a ZT2 from the DD. Actually what Im wondering is if you could simulate the rear O2's with a narrowband output from the Zeitronix based on wideband info from the ZT2. Feed that signal back to the rear O2 wiring. Similar to other wideband systems such as AEM etc.

Can't wait to see what you've done, it sounds killer!

Anyone running into issues with wideband readings though the analog input? I have it hooked up to an AEM UEGO and dashdaq hasn't able to provide any help. My DD readings are 1-2 points off from what my AEM gauge is showing. I know the AEM gauge is right because it shows 14-15 AFR's at cruising/idle and at WOT 11.5afrs. On the dashdaq it constantly shows +1-2 AFR's. The refresh rate on the DD is also crap. I only have Boost and AFR displayed and it seems to update 1-2 times per second which is awful. Anyone else have this problem or know if there's something that can be done? Drewtech's forum appears to be gone now as well? BTw, I'm using the AEM PID that's available for download on drewtechs site.

thanks

Bryan

Don't know what to say other than the refresh rate on my DD is fine. Make sure all of your connections are correct and perhaps update the firmware on the DD.

Yes, there is a simulated narrowband output on the Zeitronix.
