Stock HE dual or single pass????
I should know this but i dont --- Is the stock HE a dual pass??? I just picked up a new HE and it is much larger than stock -- big improvement -- If stock is single pass than its even a larger improvement.
STOCK HE: 27 length x 2 deep x 5 tall = total of 270 inches
Upgrade HE: 26 length x 3.5 deep x 7 tall = 637 inches
thats a whopping 235% larger !!!

Since the inlet and outlet are on the same side it has to be a dual pass. Just for reference I updated my HE with this one: http://www.frozenboost.com/product_i...5d3b86b11c6c78
2.5 X the volume of the stock HE and pretty cheap.

yeah - it is heavy --- but it is a big unit -- if steel were in there it would be much heavier

The description states the unit is constructed out of Aluminum. Has anyone been able to compare this new unit with the Code 3 with the Spearco core? If so, which one's better?

i havent compared them -- but who can argue with the rep of spearco --- but considering the price --- how much better can it be??? its a non mechanical unit -- its not rocket science -- no special secret formula --
So - this will get the job done -- unless you are going crazy with the racing and have serious mods -- but even the guys doing this are having problems and getting rear reserviors - ice - spraying - etc.

I have this HE in my car, Its very large and from what I understand it won't fit the 04-06 do to a oil cooler or some thing like that. I have an 03 and even that was a challenge to get it to fit nice. Performance is good nothing amazing, but on par with what others have but at a 1/3 the price.

Give me another month and I will have a nice intercooler setup to share. This particular unit is good in that it adds volume, 1.75 Liters. However, there is a better choice out there.
