The quickest E63 in the 1/4 mile is Rob's car (Oldgixer), which happens to be a stock car . He ran an 11.95 @ 118.3 mph. The fastest E63 in the 1/4 mile is mine which hit trap speeds as high as 118.9 mph - also stock.

Unfortunately, none of the modified E63s have gotten good numbers at the track. However, malakasnyc is working on changing that . His car is pushing 490 rwhp without long-tube headers

To answer your second question, RENNtech, Evosport, MBH, and MHP all make long-tube headers for the E63. However, only RENNtech makes shorty headers as well.

Strange **** happens @ the track . WHen we cut great 60ft times the car boggs on a shift killing the run . Alot of trial and error . @ weeks ago at Atco the tranny said BYE BYE .

the bogging issue hopefully was due to the tranny so next week will be back @ Atco .

So, if I am reading this correctly, stock cars have been the fastest. So what is the advantage (if there is one) of mods like headers, intake, exhaust, and ECU re-flash?

the one car stock that hit a 11 was in a -1200 DA and 40 degree temps . i ran a 12.07 with a -300 DA at 55 degrees with 95 percent humidity and a 12.1 with a 1700 DA @ 80 degrees and 80 percent humidity . And if you do the corrections my car should be in a 11.8 times .

DA and track elevations will make times vary drastically across the country but believe half of what u see and none of what u read , especially on the internet !

Bottom line these NA cars you are doing mods to pick up a tenth here and there and a tenth is a blink of any eye . once u start modding these cars its always something . first time out i had a bogging issue on 2nd to 3rd shifting with a 1.81 60 ft and it wouldve resulted in a 11 second pass for sure .

2nd time out we had bad DA which we also had a 55 that hit 11.11 on previous runs and it could only crack a 11.6 that day , And i also had a cam shaft error reading on ECU "which pretty certain was due to cats restricting car " and then last week the tranny went bye bye .

my car is awesome and i know if i went long tubes or deleted the 2 hi flow cats i would pick up more power but then im afraid i will lose that refined sports car feel and if i wanted that i wouldve went with a ZR1

since the last track runs i picked up another 20+ rwhp so my old times will be smoked soon.
