Somebody ripped of my navigation antenna and cut the wires . How can i install a new one. Do i have to remove the both pillars to change the wires and where do the wires go (and how to remove them without breaking anything)? Its a 05 E55 and the antenna is just on top of the rear window. thanks for any help , i coudnt find anything in the forums on how to replace the antenna with the wiring.

you need to trace the wire from the ariel to the nav processor.

1. Pull on the wire which runs inbetween the rear window rubber to remove it.

2. the wire then passes through the rubber grommet which you can be seen once you open the boot lid.

3. Remove the left side trim where the Nav processor is.

4. Slide out the Nav Processor by releasing the clips which are securing it to the cage.

5. Unplug the GPS ariel conection from the back of the Nav processor.

THEN do everything in reverse with the new ariel.

how is the antenna attached to the window? is it glued on? i'm trying to remove mine
