Put about 2500 miles since picking her up in Orlando and back to NYC. The car is Flint Gray but look blue in every picture I have taken. This weekend I am doing the 60k service myself but will take it in for the transmission fluid service. I love the M5 forum and so far this forum has been a wealth of information for me to snack on. I was on (amgforums.org no one will replay to anything on there) BTW I did that ECU reset this morning key on gas to floor for 5 sec and key off but still in the switch... WOW.... I am looking for the pass side headrest button dealer will only sell the complete switch...so I am on ebay looking.... Would like to Wax it before winter...let me know what you guys are using both inside and out. |
Welcome, congrats, and absolutely sunning car!!! :y
Very nice looking car.
super nice and welcome, got long tubes:)
Beautiful car. The ride up from Orlando must have been a blast, although maybe a bit long. No tickets I trust.
Very clean ride...welcome to the Torque Club...once you get a taste you may want some more...:v:
No Tickets...stop and visit friend along the way back
I did however had to get 2 new front tires.. The inside were down to wires. The outer was like new. I have 2 new tires on and everything seem good again. But I am told its a common problem for the inside to wear off.I drive the car in the lower ride height position and shock on number 1 setting.
Car is 100% stock (that I know ) and I installed the AMG flat badge I bought from a member. |

Congrats on the new car. I love Flint Grey. :y Glad you made the trip without incident.
Flint Grey FTW
You have yourself a nice color. It must have been a cool ride from FL in the MB, I did the same trip earlier this year in a Escalade, you have to be carefull not to go too fast (or least not get caught).
Welcome to the AMG family. |
Getting OLD moved from ultimate driving machine to MB ?
Good looking car, congrats :y
Nice purchase!
Congrads and welcome!!!!!!
Congrats on a beautiful car :y
Great lookin ride! Congrats! :y
Congrats! :)
Did you notice the wheels are different from the OEM one came with the AMG? In fact, I would rather to have this instead of the OEM one, but with the exception of Performance pack wheels... |

BTW I did that ECU reset this morning key on gas to floor for 5 sec and key off but still in the switch... WOW.... I'm a recent BMW to MB switcher too. So far, no complaints. I think that generally, the BMW cars I've owned have handled a bit tighter, but the fit, finish and luxury on the MB blows the BMW product away. BTW, I guess you must be proof that the ECU reset works on the e63 cars? For some reason, i thought i read in the "Sneaky ECU" thread that it didnt work for e63 cars. Hmmmmm..... |
Very Nice, I was never a Fan of the E63, thats not until I saw your car. Very nice may consider one in two years.
Looks great! And you and I had the same builder on our engines as well. :-)
sunil - nice ride! My wagon has the same color interior. :y

I've gone back and forth between some of the German brands. My wife went from an R230 SL500 to a 650 vert and prefers the 650. It's all subjective, but I prefer the BMW interiors to MB. I wish Audi and BMW brought their uber-wagons to the US. It would give us wagon nerds more choices :rolf: |

Beautiful car! What model are those wheels off of? Because they are not stock E63 wheels. They look great!
nice purchase and sure you enjoyed the ride back!
Nice ride. The 63s have been looking pretty good to me lately, yours in particular. Those wheels look like the cls55 ones and fit the car nicely. I didn't think any of the 211 AMGs ever got rear fold-down seats. surprisingly nice to see a lighter-colored interior as well. Congrats Sunil
Looking hawt! Nice to see another member in the growing W211 AMG family :)
how the hell did you put your rear seats down? ive been removing the wheels on my bike for months in order to fit it in my trunk...
wheels
Wheels are 19x10 rear and 19x9 front
285 30 rear 255 35 front the wheels does have the AMG logo and I have yet to take them off to see if a MB logo and PN is on the inside...The wheels does make... The only thing I want to change on the car would be to have CF or Aluminum trim on the inside. Yes.. The BMW was more responsive but than again my 540 was home made with after market everything and a supercharger... So far this car has been really nice to me even getting 23.5 MPG (ECU)I will have to check that with pen and paper ... |
wow, that's nice, congrats. If you need any help with mods we are close to you, let me know if you'd like to stop by.

Folding split rears was an option on the E55. I don't have it on mine...wish I did.
Not sure if it was an option on the E63 or if they were smart and just made it standard. |
